To begin our day in San Antonio we started at the San Antonio Temple. Our friends, the Burtons, came with us so we were able to get some family pictures...minus Beth of course. We decided that because it was going to be an all day trip we would leave her with the Grovers to play with her friend Rachel (who spent 6 weeks in our house a couple months ago).
The weather was beautiful and great for picture taking. Em loved the temple and picked up some pictures in the distribution center. The stained glass windows were breath taking and we enjoyed just walking around the grounds.
Em wanted to go inside but we didn't think
denim was the clothing of choice for the House of the Lord.
After the temple we went to lunch at Fudruckers, one of my favorite restaurants, and had amazing burgers. Then we went to the Alamo and walked around. Having been there before the coolest thing that I saw was giant goldfish swimming in the little creek running through the grounds.
After the Alamo we walked down to the famous Riverwalk. It was beautiful, as usual, and quite nice to walk along the river without worrying about Beth taking a swim. Although I have to admit by this point I was so tired and my feet hurt so bad that Lance had to hold on to me because we all know how graceful I can be at times. The edge of the Riverwalk is NOT the place to be stumbling !!
How could we resist this great photo spot!!
It was a great day and fun to be out and about...without Beth, bless her heart. Luckily she had a great day as well and enjoyed dragging Rachel's two older sisters, ages 6 and 8, around and bouncing on their tummies...instead of mom and dad's!

I love the Riverwalk... San Antonio was one of our favorite Texas places. Looks like you had fun with Emily-- and she's so pretty! I haven't seen her in a long time.
