Happy 2nd Birthday Bethany!

Beth's actual birthday was very relaxed and nice. Because we had already done the big party when we were home with our families I decided to skip the "party" in Austin (that I knew she wouldn't care about anyway...I mean isn't the party more for the mom anyway? :) Lance had interviews at school most of the day so Beth and I hung out at home and played.... EVERYTHING!

She loved the plastic tea set we got her and played with it most of the day. She wants popcorn every day so I made a huge bag of it and we ate and played with it all day. She thought it was great fun to eat the popcorn off her new dishes... oh...and feed her mom and babies too.

Next we went outside and played with smelly bubbles (no pictures, sorry). After we discovered there were mosquitoes that wanted to share our fun we promptly went inside and played with playdough. Beth loved to squish it and watch mom make snakes. Later that night we painted and went to Walmart and got the long awaited FISH! We got two of them and 2 hours later one had passed on to a better world...

I had let Beth open her tea set when she got up but I told her she would have to wait until Dad got home to open the other ones... As soon as Lance walked in the door she ran to her presents and started tearing off paper. This one doesn't miss a thing and don't think she is going to let you forget something you promised. She loved her Froggie Letters that sing and talk and we are excited to report that she is learning the names and sounds of her letters.

After eating popcorn all day and already doing the cake/candle thing in Utah we finished off the night with one of Beth's favorites, and mine, ice cream with fresh strawberries. She is a little obsessed with strawberries at the moment and had already eaten 6 huge ones for breakfast. She was happy to polish them off and then two very tired parents put the birthday girl to bed.

Happy Birthday Beth!

We love you and look forward to many more wonderful... and busy.... years!!

Sorry about the fish--your Dad thinks that maybe you'd have better luck with cats and even has a couple in mind...!
