Fat Forever!

Have any of you ever been to the doctor and had him tell you that at 39 weeks absolutely NOTHING is happening??? Well I have and it's FRUSTRATING! I think just knowing that I should be having this baby soon is more of a toll on me emotionally than physically. Well, ok, I admit I'm not comfortable physically either but I can't complain. My pregnancies are very smooth and I don't get huge so really I'm sure it's not that bad. I'd just really like to sleep well (like that happens when you have a newborn) and sleep on my tummy again... not to mention be able to tie my shoes again without feeling like I'm being cut in half.

I have felt really comfortable and peaceful about going ahead with the VBAC but now that I'm almost due and nothing is happening to prepare me for one I'm getting nervous all over again. We are going to wait another week and see if anything is happening and if not we will probably schedule another C-section (yuck). I really didn't mind the C-section last time, other than the 2 week flu and fever afterwards and the painful recovery, but I don't want to have to have them for the rest of my children by default. I guess all we can do is play the waiting game some more...
Lance's mom gets into town Tuesday and at this point I guess we better start planning some touristy things to do instead of nursing and getting up 5 times a night!

Isn't motherhood full of surprises?

I can totally sympathize with you on not wanting another c-section. I hope it all works out for you. I can't wait to see this baby (as I'm sure you are too!) and hear all about it. Thanks for your number, I'm glad you understand what a blonde I am! Can't wait to talk to you.

Rach I hope you go into labor soon, it can happen really fast, just remember if you are having contractions and you feel the urge to push don't! until the doctor tells you to, that was my mistake with cami. Oh and the recovery for the second csection was a lot easier then the first, and faster! I still hope you can have a vbac!

Hang in there Rach! That is SO frustrating, I'm sure... I know I just get to a point when I am DONE with pregnancy--sounds like you're feeling the same way. It's hard to feel so helpless... Things will work out the way they're supposed to work out. I'm thinking of you!
