We were so grateful to have Lance's mom come the night I had Izzy. She was a lifesaver!Lucky for us my mother-in-law is a pro at this and a supermom so we were in good hands. Other than making the meals, getting Beth ready daily, sewing Beth an Easter dress, hemming Lance's pants, and helping me with Izzy she was able to visit San Antonio with Lance and Beth. We are so happy that she was able to come and hope her trip was a nice one!
My mom was able to come the day Lance's mom left. It is always so great to have your mom there after you give birth! Beth found her new "best friend" and looked forward to their walks everyday. I was so incredibly happy that my mom was able to come and spend 12 days with us! I was SO grateful for all she did as well... making meals, taking care of Beth and Izzy... and me, walking the floors with Izzy at 1 am, taking a night feeding, watching the girls while Lance and I went out to dinner, etc. We also got a chance to go to San Antonio and walk around the Alamo and the Riverwalk.
I don't know what I would have done without "moms" to come and take care of us. I have had a bear of a time getting back on my feet since delivery. For some reason I have been blessed with smooth pregnancies and healthy babies.... but unexpected deliveries and HARD recovery's. I was so grateful I was able to be up and walking around comfortably before my mom left. I am continuing to heal and feel better though and up and doing laundry like a pro!
So thank you once again to my wonderful mother-in-law and my own mom, who I feel is more of a best friend I couldn't live without!!

And this is why I am so stinking jealous of you! If I have another baby, I get to do it all on my own while Nathan leaves for 4 days at a time! You are soooooo lucky!
Yes, moms can save the day. I don't know what I would have done without my mom's help either...
Dear Rizzie,
I was so INCREDIBLY grateful I could come! Thank you (and Lance, Beth, and Izzy) for a wonderful 12 days.
P.S. On the way home from the airport I spotted a sign for a "Chipotle" in SLC, and it brought back a tasty memory...
Rach, I can't believe how amazing you look after having just had a baby! I'm glad to hear you are recovering well and had a great time with family.
P.S. I love the Aggie shirt you're wearing in the last picture! Go Aggies (the Utah State kind)!
Mother's are so wonderful. I know I could never survive without mine!
