Lately Beth has been especially ornery! She has been clingy, whiny, and very sensitive. At this point I just figured it was because of Izzy and the shift in attention in our house. Lance has been putting in long hours at school, which means Beth is getting even less attention from me then she usually does when he is home during the evenings.
As I was brushing her teeth this morning she complained of having a popcorn kernel in her tooth, which she has been complaining about for about three days now. I thought nothing of it, having tried unsuccessfully to get it out, and continued brushing. Well when I hit the back teeth she lost it and as big crocodile tears rolled down her face and I tried to be patient I thought to actually look in her mouth! Well what do you know... there are two big molars trying to push through. Duh.... mom... why didn't I think of that? I guess I totally forgot 2 year olds teeth. She has woken up a few times in the past few night (one was because her whole body was stuck through her bed bars and she couldn't move her head :). She seems to be "selectively picky" with her food though... not eating soft quesadillas but eating apples and popcorn with no problem.
I guess this, too, is just another chapter in Beth's dramatic Book of Life!

Love that pouty face! :)
I know, it's so hard to know if a two year old actually has a reason to be onery or not! That's awful to say, but I swear I could drive myself crazy trying to figure out what Hailey needs 24/7. Sometimes you just have to let things roll off your back... And other times, as in your case with the molars, you'll discover it eventually. :)
Wow! Tanner is getting his molars in right now as well! And he is acting exactly like how you're describing Beth! He actually had 2 come in already, unbeknownst to us (don't know when!), but these that are coming through right now are really giving our litte man some grief! I know what you are going through with a fussy baby and stressful situation (kind of), except that you've got two munchkins to chanse. Hang in there!
