The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day...

My day started off pretty normal. We got up, found that Lance had left us the car for the day, ate what was left of the breakfast stuff (I really needed to go to the store), and got ready for the day. I decided to take Beth to see her first movie in the theaters ($1 movies of course).
Then things started to go downhill...

* Beth peed on the floor (her first accident in a week)

* We got lost on the way to the theater

* Beth was terrified of the DARK theater... luckily I got her in.

* Izzy was fussy and Beth was scared of the mean Eagle (Horton Hears A Who), we ended up leaving 50 minutes into it

* We got lost on the way home, but ran into a mall (what's a girl to do??)

* Beth peed her pants in the mall... I had just taken out the extra diapers out of the bag ( Did I mention we missed the entrance to the freeway 3 times on our way home???)

* Lance got home and told me our landlord was NOT budging on his "I don't prorate my apartment" which means he is expecting over $1000 more than we planned on paying. He expects us to pay for all of May (we moved in on the 9th) and all of July (we move out on the 15th). He never told us this when we moved in... and we actually never signed anything. Had we known about this we would have lived somewhere else. We didn't want to sign a 3 month lease which is why we decided to pay more and live here.I am having a REALLY hard time being "Christ like " about this. Lance wants to let it go. I say "FIGHT IT" and use your lawyer connections and threaten to take it to small claims court, or move out early, or something... I'm SO mad!!!!

* My credit card was denied... only to find out that the hotel Lance stayed at in D.C. used his number two other times for someone else's room...an extra $340.00 on our card that isn't ours.

* I hurt my foot walking on our stairs (actually not a big deal but it adds to the drama of the day...)

* Izzy, who bless her heart is usually a great baby, was fussy all day long (maybe my nerves where just shot and I got bothered easily)

* I noticed that where Beth colored on the couch the day before with crayon and where I scrubbed it out was not looking normal...did some of the color come out when I scrubbed? Great... now our landlord can take our deposit too....GREAT!!!

Needless to say Beth was in bed at 8:30... Izzy in bed by 9:15 and Lance and I just sat on the couch, vegging and trying to NOT think about the day. Last night, just to seal the deal, three really loud sirens woke up Izzy at 3:30 am and she didn't go back to sleep for about 30 minutes... and then slept badly for the rest of the night.

I'm really hoping today goes better. We have the car again but I'm scared to go anywhere because of the drama that might ensue. We have to go to the store though so I get to push around two kids in a cart and try to fit in the groceries... how do you other mothers of two do that? I'm outta room in 5 minutes!

Needless to say I'm ready for the weekend!!!!
AAHHHHHH....

oh I hear you! My dad yesterday was rotten too! I think you got dealt a worse day than mine though. Sorry to hear about the non-prorated landlord. That is totally ridiculous!!! Oh well, look on the bright side. A little over 2 weeks till you get to Utah, and get to play with Tanner and me! Yay!

I'm sorry Rach! I can totally relate. Sucks to not have an extra pair of hands... It's nice to ya know, PEE by yourself every once in a while! Unfortunately, busy hubby's = no alone time.

I'm sorry things aren't going your way. When it rains is pours, huh? Complain all you want-- I'll listen and not judge. I'm so negative right now, that it's comforting to hear other's negativity too! Sad.

Anyway, hope things get better... {HUGS}

I'm sorry! I felt your pain the whole time reading your post...why does it all happen at once? WHY?

I definitely agree with Brooke. Why does it all happen at once? WHY? (I really am sorry about your landlord, the credit card mess-up, and difficult babies. I'm also sorry I stole your blog title for one of my entries this week ... but it fit. Check out my bad day--it might make you feel okay. :))
