We had an awesome 4th of July this year, despite being away from family this year.
We started the day off by going to the little Coppell parade. We got a great parking spot, a shaded spot to see the parade, and it only lasted 30 minutes...which is the perfect amount of time to see a parade, get hot, and be ready to go.

After the parade we met up with some friends and went to a park to kill some time before lunch. After a little while on a shaded playground we went to BJ's for lunch. Both girls were good (which makes or breaks the meal). Since we went with a family who is already employed by Baker Botts we were able to eat on their dime (Thanks Uncle Baker).
After lunch we came home and went swimming in our complex pool. What would the 4th of July be like without swimming (remember last year Meliss? Coooolllldddd). This year it was in the 90's of course and HOT! Once again both girls were so good and we were able to stay for a couple hours. Beth was able to "swim" really well with her floaties which minimized the work for Lance and I :)
After we went home, showered, and rested for a couple hours we headed off to our favorite resuarant for dinner... Costa Vida! We had to drive about 30 minutes but for those salads and burritos it is worth it! After dinner we went over to a golf course and watched about 6 different firework displays. Beth was wired from so much excitement and after the fireworks were over we headed home. Lance and I ended the night with a movie and our usual "Mythbusters" run, which always gets me ready for bed :)

Halle had the same outfit when she was little that Izzy is wearing. Your girls are so gorgeous. Boyd's not much for looking at blogs, but he thought the one of Beth singing was hilarious. He thought she was adorable (his words even).
What? There are fireworks here on the 24th? How cool is that? We may join with ya'll! Oh and I think we're ready to come to one of these Baker Botts outings with you....they sound nice!
Don't you love summer internships! We just went to the Cheesecake factory on papa dickstien! It was great to order anything I wanted and not worry about the cost. I am glad you had a great fourth of july, see you in utah soon!
How fun, your kids are stinkin' cute. We are going to be in Utah around the 16th of August. I am hoping to make it a four day trip or so. I will let you know when I can convince Sherm;)
how fun!
