My favorite month of the whole year is October!
I love it!
Even though I may not get to enjoy the brilliant fall colors yet here in Texas I know they will be here before the month is over. Here are just a few things I enjoy about this wonderful month...
- I love getting my fall decor out and putting it up around the house
- I love going to the local pumpkin patch and finding that perfect pumpkin for Halloween
-I love making caramel apples
-I love making... and smelling... apple butter
- I love seeing the trees start to change colors... even here in Texas
- I love the Halloween merchandise in all the stores
- I love Halloween
- I love making and eating pumpkin bars with cream cheese icing
-I love making soups when it gets colder (in Texas that means down in the 70's)
- The temperatures start to fall... hopefully.

I tell Lance that when he is working I want to fly home every October just to see the colors and spend time baking and cooking fall recipes with my mom. Unfortunately not this year but I'm hoping for next.

So I think that you need to send me a recipe of the pumpkin bars with cream cheese icing. They sound delicious. Wish I could run over to your house and we could make them together!
