I LOVE Valentines Day!!
I always have. I think about and plan for it weeks in advance so it's just right. I like to make the whole day fun and memorable. Here's how our day went this year...

Throughout the course of the day we:
*enjoyed the decorations, such a s balloons, banner, hearts, and candy spread around the house
* ate brunch, complete with breakfast casserole, orange rolls, fresh fruit and fruit dip, and sparkling juice
*made one of my favorite desserts, Creme Brulee... Fabulous!
* made sugar cookies with "help" from Beth
* helped Lance with his "Valentines dinner" which consisted of salmon, lobster tails, funeral potatoes, rolls, broccoli and cheese sauce, and raspberry ginger ale.
* went to our ward Valentines Dance while someone else put our girls to bed :)
*danced the night away in the good ol' cultural hall with friends
* ate Creme Brulee while enjoying a fire in the fireplace
(ummm... our smoke alarm DID go off at one point... )

I love valentines too, but I did not go as way out as you did. I am super impressed. Now truthfully it wasn't the fire that set the alarm off was it;)
You are the cutest mom!
Wow, I really need to step it up next year...it didn't help that Ty worked all day and then came home and had to replace brake pads on the car with our neighbor all night...yep...pretty romantic!
Sounds like you had a great day! And your dinner sounded yummy. There's nothing like letting someone else put your kids to bed. Love it!
Haha thanks again for the Valentine's Day help this year. It was a marvelous TWO days. Yay! But I'm glad I could read more about it after-the-fact.
And by the way... I agree with Andrea... hahaha
(Sorry, I'm glad I could read more about YOUR Valentines even after you told me what you were going to do.)
P.S. That picture of Beth and Izzy is darling. Believe it or not, I miss 'em already!
