We did it!
We finally got ourselves a dog.
She is a 7 year old black lab. named Molly.
We actually adopted her from a shelter at the Dripping Springs Founders Day Fair on Saturday.
She is a great "starter dog" as we were told.
We thought about getting a puppy but I didn't want the extra work, the soiled new carpet, the chewed up new furniture, and the hyperness of a puppy.
Molly is very sweet. She is overweight so our work is cut out for us. She is on a weight management diet and we plan on walking her A LOT. Maybe she won't be the only one who will benefit from the daily walks :)
She is still a little nervous around the girls but tolerates them and is warming to their constant attention.
Beth and Izzy are thrilled and want to play with her all the time.
When Izzy sees her she says, "Hi You!" and while walking her today she kept yelling, "Stop Boy" so she could pet her.
Beth keeps telling me she wants a kitten too.
We'll see....

You got a dog!! The other day I called Boyd and left a message on his phone telling him I had decided to give in and let him get a dog. He's been wanting one for over a year now, so when he heard the message he called right away. But we keep getting cold feet. Not sure it will happen anytime soon. But now seeing that you have one, I feel more inclined to get one. Boyd will be happy.
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I am determined that one of these days I will remember to get a card out in the mail that can get to you on your birthday, rather than months later (or never actually making it in the mail). I hope you had a fabulous day. Love you tons!!!
what the?! I can't believe you got a dog. Molly looks sweet. I don't like seeing pictures of you guys because I see everything that's changed since we were there: different hair, adorable dress, different house, different furniture, new dog, etc., etc.,.... nope. don't like it one bit. Will you find a house for me, preferrably next door to yours? I promise I'll come back.
Happy Birthday late! And congrats on the dog! She is darling. I think you are smart to start with an older dog...I would do the same thing! And I love Beth's hair! She looks so grown-up! :)
Congrats on the new family member! She is cute and resembles a dog that Lance once had and was extremely attached to :). I love Izzy's comments to the dog!
