Halloween Weekend

This years Halloween festivities started off at Beth's preschool on Thursday with a Fall Fun Day.
I was able to help out and man a booth. Izzy "helped".
Both girls dress up as witches.
Beth was a "nice witch"
Izzy was a "mean witch" (her hat was inside at the time)

Molly didn't want to be left out.
She was a "passive" witch.

We wonder what she was planning???

Ward Trunk or Treat on Saturday night
(this and a Halloween carnival at Beth's preschool was our "trick or treating" this year due to Halloween being on a Sunday... we got enough candy to satisfy the NEED though)

Pumpkin carving Halloween night.
Beth requested a kitty (surprise, surprise)
Izzy got flowers.
Lance was the artist for both....
I was making pumpkin bars
(one of our favorite Halloween traditions, and sorting pumpkin seeds for roasted pumpkin seeds)

Our porch on Halloween night.
We decided to sit outside and visit with our neighbors while "giving" out candy instead of going trick or treating. We explained to the girls that Sunday is a special day where we think about Jesus and we do things that help us do that. They were good sports about it and were happy to give out candy to others.

Hope ya all had a Happy Halloween.....

Now on to another one of my favorite months, especially in Texas.

November!!!!!

On to Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping, and planning the holidays
(yes, Mom, I'm living in the present....just looking forward to the future :)

I have an extreme case of missing you guys right now! cute pumpkins, cute witches, cute headband, cute porch, etc., etc., etc. But I must have missed your costume....and Lance's....you'll post that picture tomorrow? :)

p.s. it's still weird to me that you have a dog. I don't know her.

Yes, when did you get a dog? It looks like you had a memorable Halloween, great job on the pumkins.

Don't be confused with the Jen B. It Jen Whiting. My sister in-law has the same name, so I go by Jen B. (B is for Bastian, my maidan name)So family doesn't get confused.

Great pics of you all--including the dog! Thanks for posting them. Sounds like you had a festive, fun Halloween weekend. Rain threatened the trick-or-treaters up here, but let up a little later Saturday eve. Tell your nice witch and cute kitty that we'll save some treats for them! We love ya'll!

I love how your girls were the same thing, originality does not run in our family either, thus we had two Cinderella's for Halloween. Owell, I am sad we won't be there for Christmas, it just isn't the same without that Christmas party and all of the awesome White elephant gifts. Hopefully next year! Hey did you get a hair cut? it is really cute. Ps I just had to play Christmas music today!
