Christmas in a Nutshell

Christmas this year was lovely. My family was able to come and visit for a week and get away from the endless snow in Utah. It was definitely "cozy" in our little apartment, but really fun. We were able to visit some sights in Austin, have our traditional Christmas Eve turkey dinner that I wanted, went to the Austin Trail of Lights, experience Chuy's (a fabulous Mexican restaurant), go to Sea World, and just have a really nice time together. Beth was adorable with her "Poppy" and "Grammie" and loved waking Em up every morning by throwing her babies on her face and begging to be read too. It was really heart warming to see how much she loved her grandparents and aunt and reminded me why I want to live closer to home.
It was hard to see my family go but knowing my mom would be here again in a month helped ease the pain :) Also knowing we are going home to Utah for part of the summer and hopefully having Em come and help me over the summer for some days have helped.
As expected, the week flew by and after my family left Lance, Beth, and I just kinda vegged for a couple days. We watched a lot of football and ate a lot of junk. This past week has been nice to have Lance home and just to enjoy spending time together as a family. We are lucky to have him home for 1 more week before he hits the books once again.
We hope y'all had a great holiday season and hope this year brings happiness and opportunities.

Happy New Year!

Beth on Christmas morning... Santa brought her a kitchen

"Poppy" brought Beth a tent, which she loves to share with her babies

Thankfully Beth was interested in the Quiet Book I spent half my life working on... she just better be careful with it.

The Fam at Sea World... No that is NOT Shamu...that is me at 8 months pregnant!
