Favorite Dessert !!

Raspberry Ganache Pie

Raspberry Ganache Pie
Prep Time:
15 min
Total Time:
4 hr 15 min
Makes:
10 servings

1 pkg. (8 squares) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 cup whipping cream
6 Tbsp. seedless raspberry jam, divided (or strawberry jam)
1 OREO Pie Crust (6 oz.) (I use a chocolate crust)
2 cups raspberries (I use strawberries b/c they are cheaper)
1 Tbsp. water

MICROWAVE chocolate and whipping cream in medium bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until chocolate is almost melted, stirring every minute. Beat with wire whisk until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Add 2 Tbsp. of the jam; mix well.

POUR into crust; cover. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.

ARRANGE raspberries on top of pie. Microwave remaining 1/4 cup jam and the water in small microwaveable bowl on HIGH 30 sec.; stir until well blended. Brush over raspberries. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

This is my new favorite dessert recipe! Melis introduced it to me...and I will forever be grateful! As long as you like fruit and chocolate mixed (Lance doesn't ...pity) you will love how smooth and rich this dessert is. Just be warned that you should limit it to one piece at a time... the calories are a bit high... but totally worth it!

ENJOY!

So I uh know how much I weigh now ...but can you tell me how much I'll weigh after eating that?! My guess is somewhere in the 300's ...

Thanks for the great recipe! Jeremy was in charge of a birthday party at work for a lady who likes chocolate. When I saw this recipe on your blog I mentioned it to him and he went out, bought the stuff, and made it (I only had to supervise a little). He took it to work yesterday and everyone loved it. He even had to get onto your blog to give people the recipe. Thanks!
You probably didn't know I look at your blog, but every once in a while, I take a peek to see what is new with you. Love, the Francoms

Oh yum! Jeremy happened to see it also and now he is sure hinting about how I need to make that. I agree with Emily, I think I might top the scales after that beauty!
