Nothin' Like a Good Book!

One of my all time favorite things to do is read a good book. I had great plans to read a ton of books the first month after having Izzy but found myself sleeping as much as I could. The past couple of weeks I have been able to stay awake long enough to read a good book! I read The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale. Many of you have probably read it already. I really enjoyed it and am thirsty for another good read. Please, if you respond to this, give me a couple suggestions for good books YOU have read lately.

Loved Goose Girl, too! :)

I have one I think you'll like called Right Ho, Jeeves by P.G. Wodehouse. I think it's hilarious. I'll have to let you borrow it.

You asked and I delivered, except I can't remember authors. Thorn in My Heart, The Memory Keepers Daughter, Plain Truth, Star Girl, My Sisters Keeper, & Search for the Moon Kings Daughter.

I know you're a much more avid reader than I, but I would recommend A Tale of Two Cities. And if you've already read it, all the more reason to read it. Classics are, without fail, better the second time. If you choose to read it, I hope you won't breeze through it as the speed-reader you are tends to do. (I wish I could read as fast as you, but books are just too good not to taste ALL of and therefore meditate on.) Tale has phenomenal foreshadowing, character development, symbolism (lots of that), and syntax (very long syntax, lol), and beautiful language. Dickens is one man who never forsook the English language.

I'm reading Atonement right now. Good so far.
