What a Weekend...

I realized that I write these things down more for my benefit than for those of you who read it. I mean I DO realize that most of you couldn't care less about my weekend but I like to document them just so remember them :)

Friday I had the opportunity to go out to dinner with some of my friends at one of my favorite sandwich places, Jason's Deli (for those of you who haven't tried this place I strongly recommend it). Afterwards we all battled our way through the teenage girls and saw Twilight on the big screen. I won't mention more than that for those of you who haven't seen the movie yet... but recommend NOT going when the teenage girls are a dime a dozen... the giggling and clapping and cheering when Edward walks onto the screen grates on ones nerves!
The evening continued to be fabulous when I got home to a roaring fire in the fireplace, the kids in bed, and a movie with Lance.

Saturday we cleaned the house, hit Walmart (yuck on a Saturday), made cookies with RED icing and then watched a GREAT BYU vs. UTAH football game with a bunch of BYU fans. I hid all of Lance's blue and white shirts and tried to convince him to wear a lovely red and white one I picked out for him... to no avail. I mean really folks... are we SURPRISED that Utah beat BYU??? They ARE a better team after all :)

(I know most of you who read this are BYU fans)

So here I am at the beginning of yet another finals month for Lance. The weekdays are long, the weeekends are full of studying, and the stress levels are high. I am excited to celebrate Thanksgiving with our wonderful friends, the Burtons, this week and plan on watching High School Musical for the first time, staining and finishing Beth's little table and chairs, and focusing on the many blessings in my life...

(Lance's finals NOT being one of them :)

I like your blog and reading all your updates. :-) I hear you about WalMart on a saturday. Who needs the circus when you can just go there?? I figured you would be pretty pleased with the game, as was I. :-) I think Nathan was rooting for BYU, but only because he "likes to root for the underdog." I would have loved to have watched the whole game, but I had shopping I wanted to do Tanner-less, which meant I had to go then. Oh well!

Wow! fun weekend! Glad you had some fun even amidst finals...will school ever be over for these husbands? Sometimes finishing seems so far away. And I swear sometimes I stress out more than Matt over school...maybe I just show it more! Good luck!

Well, rach, be glad you didn't go to twilight with me and my friends, we were screaming with all of the teenagers! And even though the utes beat byu, I don't think they were the better team, if our quaterback could have not given the game to them then it would have been really close When do you fly to Utah? I leave the 11 I need to figure out a date for the party!

High School Musical, eh? Wow. I've actually never seen it, just heard...umm...a lot about it. :)

Anyway, I agree with you on the Twilight teenage girls thing hahaha. When we were standing in line for the movie, a girl asked Trevor, "Is this the line for Twilight?"
He goes, "Well let's think about this: It's an hour ahead, there are a TON of girls and like... two guys. Yes, it's Twilight."
("Hahahaha." That was them laughing. Not me. Even though I like it when other girls hit on the guy I'm dating... gives me a little reinforcement... "Yeah, he is cute, isn't he?")
Okay anyway, so I liked it. Twilight. I was so afraid the casting would be terrible, but it really wasn't! I liked the actors a lot. :)
