This year on Izzy's birthday Lance was out of town on business so we "celebrated" the day after instead. Of course Friday, being her actual birthday, and ME knowing it was we had to do something fun. We ended up going to the park and playing for a couple of hours (keeping in mind it was 70 degrees) and then when to Costco (which my kids LOVE) and had "ice cream for lunch".
That night we had breakfast for dinner... which is something we can't do when the man of the house is at home :) We ended the day watching one of my girls favorites, Milo and Otis.
Saturday, the minute Lance got home, Izzy asked to open presents (with some prompting from her sister).
Can't you tell she's thrilled?
I really just never caught her smiling... I was too busy watching her.
Most of her presents were doll accessories... a baby bed, stroller, high chair/swing, and some darling clothes Grandma Jensen made her. As you can see she especially loved the baby bed.
She also received a baby, backpack, a couple books, a water coloring set, and some odds and ends.
Yellow cupcakes with chocolate frosting... so the rest of us would like them as well...
I'm done with confetti cupcakes forever.
(I know Mom, I bet you never thought I'd say that, right?)
(Why on the days when I take pictures of myself do I wear no make-up??)
